  • Tarrafal — the fishing village — attracts its crowds with one of the best beaches containing the presently restoring Old Colonial Prison, where the Portuguese dictator, Salazar, had held dissidents from throughout his empire in the initial 2/3rds of the 20th century.

We loved the 2 room suite having kids with us. The patio was wonderful to sit down and sip our coffee. Breakfast was so yummy! Everything was brand new and so clean. We would definitely stay here again!

Great location. Close to the action (a three minute walk) but far enough away from the noise late at night. Staff was excellent and room was very nice as well as very clean. An excellent choice.
